Our sanctuary is prepared for Advent & Christmas

Advent has begun — a season of the church calendar preparing us for Christmas. It's a time of reflection and preparation. Each Sunday in Advent has a theme: Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love. May Advent and Christmas be a continual unfolding of blessing for you, with a renewal of hope, peace, joy, and love for the year to come.

Share an Ornament

Each of you is encouraged to bring an ornament for our hallway Christmas tree — contributions from our church family for our “family” tree.  You may take your ornaments home with you when the season is passed.  Thanks for sharing!

Christmas Party

Everyone is invited to our annual Christmas dinner. It was held at the church building on December 12.

Christmas Mailbox Now Available

Through Advent, you can put Christmas cards in our special mailbox, located right inside the main entrance of the church and is ready to receive your cards.  Any Christmas cards you may have for members of this congregation may be placed in this mailbox.  Cards will be distributed on December 22nd  & 24th.  It is suggested that you contribute the money you save on postage to the special Christmas Offering for Regional Ministries, that will be received on December 15, 22, & 29. This offering benefits the ministries of our Regional Church.

Caroling

Everyone is welcome to join us as we go a-caroling on Sunday, December 22. It's a joy to sing the old Christmas carols with people we haven't seen for a while. We’ll meet at the Massey House (next to our church building) at 4:30 PM and leave from there to go caroling at several locations. After caroling, we'll gather for a Christmas party with light refreshments.

Staff Gift

A traditional part of our Christmas season is to collect contributions for a gift to thank our staff: pastor Janet Moore, choir director Christopher Probst, and custodian Linda Gold. If you wish to contribute for this gift, please give your donations directly to Paul Rabe or place an offering marked “staff gift” in the plate during our worship on December 22 or 29.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, we'll celebrate our candlelit Christmas Eve Service of Readings and Carols. This is one of our most beautiful worship celebrations of the year.
