Musical Performances

We know performers in several musical performances in this holiday season.

Barbara Ann is performing as part of the holiday concert of the Havertown Choristers, at Havertown High School, 200 Mill Rd, Havertown, December 4.

Cory Davis, our choir director, will sing as part of the choir at the Temple University Family Holiday Concert. This is a seasonal concert featuring the Temple University Jazz Band, Symphony Orchestra, and Combined Choirs. This concert will take place on December 8th, 7:00 pm, at the Temple Performing Arts Center, 1837 N. Broad St, Philadelphia, PA. Admission is free. The concert can be watched live or anytime after the performance online.

Dale Harris will accompany a sing-along performance of Handel's Messiah, on December 10 at 7:00 pm, at the LDS Church, 721 Paxon Hollow Road, Broomall. (I got this mixed up. Dale accompanied the community Thanksgiving service.)

A Graduate Conductors Chorus and Recital Chorus will take place on December 11, at 7:30 pm, in Rock Hall Auditorium, 1715 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA. The first half of the concert will include Graduate Conductors Chorus, co-led by the three first year masters students in the Temple Choral Conducting masters program, followed by the Recital Chorus led by Cory Davis, a second-year student in the masters program. Admission is free. Cory will direct five pieces.

  • Schlenker, "Timor et Tremor"
  • Areneson, "Flight Song"
  • Anonymous, "Dindirindin"
  • Brahms, "Vocal Quartets Op. 112"
  • Mozart, "Missa in C" ("Sparrow," k220)

A November 28 concert (Home for Harmony, with the Temple University Concert Choir and Project HOME), in which Cory sang as part of the Concert Choir, is also available online.
