Chalice Sounds

Chalice Sounds includes (from the left) Lori Palmer (vocals), Jeff Johnston (vocals and rhythm guitar), John King (lead guitar and sound engineering), Debra Mixon (violin), Jay Treat (winds and bass guitar), Tim Haslett (drums and vocals), and Dale Blair (keyboard).

Chalice Sounds is the contemporary praise band of Marple Christian Church. Several of their songs are original compositions by members of the group. Chalice Sounds contributes to contemporary services.

Formed in 2003 out of a desire to introduce contemporary music and contemporary worship elements into the worship service, Chalice Sounds provides music as part of the worship experience at Marple Christian Church four times a year in early February, May, August and November, as well as for other church events. The band has also performed at the 2004 Regional Assembly of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Pennsylvania.
