[photo of Chalice Sounds in 2011]On August 20, we will celebrate worship in a more contemporary style. Dress is informal. We will collect canned food for our community food center.

Our band, Chalice Sounds will provide musical leadership. The band will perform “Let's Get Together”, as special music.

Sympathy: Robert Blair

Our deepest sympathy is extended to Jacob Blair upon the death of his father, Robert Blair.

A memorial service is being planned for 2:00 pm on August 20.

Summer Schedule

Our summer schedule began on June 11 and continues until after Labor Day. The regular schedule will resume on September 10.

In our summer schedule, there is no Sunday School and our Sunday morning worship begins at 10:00 a.m., and ending at 11:00 a.m.

As usual, we provide bagels, donuts, and coffee at 9:30 a.m. to provide an informal time to visit. Dress in comfortable clothing for summer.

Collecting for Our Community Food Center

["I was hungry and you gave me food."]We collect non-perishable food and household supplies for our community food bank, St. Mark's Food Center. We can leave them in the large basket outside the pastor's office.

In August, the Food Center is especially looking for cereal.

St. Mark’s Food Center will gratefully accept the following nonperishable items: breakfast cereals (especially cereals that are kid-friendly), white or brown rice, soups, canned chicken and tuna, peanut butter, canned vegetables, pancake mix (just-add-water variety) and syrup, applesauce and fruit cups, enriched pasta, condiments (ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise), coffee, toothpaste, bar bath soap, diapers, sanitary napkins, and 2-ply toilet paper.
